he Prime Time After School Program, located in the Richard J. Murphy K-8 School,
is a full service after school program serving the needs of over 300 students. Our program runs from 2:20 – 6:15 during the regular school year. We provide academic support through homework help and one-to-one tutoring, as well as a number of enrichment activities.

Our permanent staff is composed of school staff (34 staff members). We have Regular Education, Special Education, and Specialist teachers as well as paraprofessionals and interns. Our enrichment activities are staffed by professionals, consultants and volunteers.

We provide a safe and healthy environment for our students to receive academic support and participate in enrichment activities. We seek to give our students genuine opportunities to learn coupled with contingencies to demonstrate learning. In addition to the after school program, we offer the Murphy School Saturday Academy where we provide focused and guided test preparation for the I.S.E.E. and M.C.A.S. exams. We also operate a program called Summer Stars for four weeks during the summer from 9:00 – 3:00 Monday through Friday.

The Prime Time After School program welcomes not only students from our school, but also outside students who want out-of-school time learning and enrichment through our program.
